Hey Friend,

First off, I want to thank and congratulate you for getting this far. You seem like the kind of person who also shares a deep passion for student wellbeing, and I’m really looking forward to meeting you.

You’ve been asked to watch this video for a couple of reasons. First, we need to make sure I’m the right person to help you achieve your goals and your student’s goals. My straightforward style and “dreamer” thinking are not for everyone. If I seem too idealistic for you, I’d rather figure that out upfront so I don’t waste your time.

The other reason is that if you’re going to work with my team and I, there are certain things we need to be in alignment with. While I’m sure we might not see eye-to-eye on everything, without some basic shared values and principles, we can’t achieve real breakthroughs for you, your team and your students.

One of my fundamental beliefs is this: if you want to overcome any challenge in life, you absolutely need to step out of your comfort zone.

My mentors, psychologists and father taught me many years ago that this willingness to take risks is such a crucial trait to adopt in order to move through tough times. It was my proclivity for risk-taking that kept me searching for the right psychologist after a string of bad experiences and this same attitude that led me to work on something I’m passionate about, as opposed to something that would meet the expectations of others and leave me unfulfilled.

I’m going to let you know upfront that whilst the Linkmate app is easy to technically implement, rolling it out culturally may not be as straightforward. It’s going to take commitment and trust. Even getting started with the Linkmate Resilience Blueprint will require you to make a strong decision and stretch outside of your comfort zone.

To make a difference in mental well-being, you already know you’ve got to be willing to do and try whatever it takes until you find what works best. Just know that if we end up working together, you won’t be alone. My team and I will be behind you and your students every step of the way.
